Combine all ingredients except salmon.
Throw the salmon in a deep dish and cover with the marinade. Let sit for at least 25 minutes. Turn the fish occasionally to coat.
Heat your grill and get it pretty hot. Pile the coals on one side so that you can cook with both direct and indirect heat.
Place the salmon on the grill skin side down over the hot coals. Let cook for 6-7 minutes, or until skin is blackened. Move fish to the cooler side of the grill (do not flip). Cover the grill and cook another 6-7 minutes.
