This could potentially cost only $5 to serve a whole army, depending on where you shop. I shop at Wal-Mart, and I buy store brands.
For the beans, I usually use dark and light kidney beans and either black beans or pintos, but you could use navy beans, chili beans, lima beans, or jelly beans for all I care. There really isn't any order to this... you just dump everything into a pot (only 1/2 the beer, though, the rest is to quench your thirst whilst you slave in the kitchen) and let it simmer for as long as you like. For the cinnamon, you want to use enough to be able to just barely taste it... I usually use about 7 or 8 shakes, but you could just as well pop a whole cinnamon stick in the pot and let the sauce soak it up.
When you're hungry for it, plop some in a bowl and top it off with some shredded cheddar or sour cream.
