Ingredients:
  • milk 1 lit.,
  • sugar 3/4 kg
  • ghee1/2 cup
  • cardomem(elaichi)

Instructions:
Keep a heavy bottomed cooking vessel on top of the stove. pour the milk in the vessel light the burner,keep the milk boiling for sometime, may be till the milk reduces to half .then keep the fire very slow that the milk should not get stuck to the bottom of the vessel and get burned. you must keep on stirring the milk to avoid the milk get burnt. when the milk get thicker and thicker, it boils and there is a chance of spluttering here and there. so be careful and use a long handled spatula to stir the milk. when the milk get thickened to the consistency of halwa put sugar into it again stir untill the sugar nicely mixedwith the halwa. again it has to be stirred for some more time to get it thickened. Now add the , ghee and cardomom pieces, mix well and immediately change the halwa to a gheed plate. leave it for sometime to get set. You can refrigerate it or can be eaten hot. when eaten hot it tastes very good.This is the traditional method of making thirattuppal in our side. so dont get excited for this recipe will take some of ur precious time to prepare it.Have nice time with thirattuppal!!!
