Best-ever pancakes. They start with Aunt Jemima mix, but that is only the beginning! Light, fluffy and a favorite for generations!

A flat molasses cake/bar--a family favorite for generations! Not sure whether "Dad's" refers to my grandfather or to some other ancestral figure!

I like to look for potato salads that do not use mayo. This is a good one.

Savory Cheesecake

Blue cheese and bacon cheesecake with a parmesan-breadcrumb crust. Every time I make it everyone wants the recipe! Try serving it with some kind of pepper jelly on the side.

This is a very hearty pea soup with lots of extra veggies. I first made it after we had been eating a lot of rich food over holiday time. It was great! I got the recipe from The Global Vegetarian--a favorite vegetarian cookbook.

Cinnamon Coffecake
Rating : Not Rated

This is a family Christmas tradition. I get up early Christmas morning to make it and we eat it as we open gifts. One daughter's friend stayed overnight at our house the night before she got married. I thought she should have something special for breakfast on her wedding morning so I made this coffee cake even though it was April. When each of my daughers came downstairs that morning they said, "Is it Christmas?"
