Dad's Macaroni and Cheese

This is a favorite in Milt's family. We keep losing the recipe so it is easier to keep it here even though it is exceedingly simple.

Yield: 6
Prep time: 30 Minutes
Cook Time: 30 Minutes
Course: Main Dishes

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag of macaroni or other pasta
  • Jalapeno peppers--either canned or fresh
  • Milk--about 1/4 cup

Instructions:

Boil the pasta according to the package directions.  In a 9x12 pan, layer the ingredients alternating pasta and cheese.  In a middle layer, put the peppers randomly on one layer as the oil tends to spread throughout the dish as it cooks.

Add enough milk to be visible in the corner of the pan when it is tilted.

Bake at 340 for about 1/2 hour--or until the cheese starts to change color.
