My http://www.redskinsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-JOHN-RIGGINS-JERSEY.html first locked lens duplicate content
Hello, Yesterday I published a lens about Facebook style like and dislike ink stamps. It has been locked due to duplicate content :(
The Lens contains an intro which I wrote (off the top off my head without rewording other content I have researched on the internet), then a text module which I also wrote myself. Then 3 Amazon spotlight modules for the 3 main types of stamps. In these I gave a general overview and in the amazon is this worth spotlighting? highlighted the 4 or so lines of the manufacturer description, Ie self inking up to 5000 times etc.
Below each spotlight module I put a text module called they are saying on Amazon about (brand) product I stated the Average star rating given and three customer reviews for each. So the first J.J. Watt Womens Jersey product only had 5 star reviews, so I gave three 3 of these. The last had an average 3 star rating, so I copied 1 star review 1 star review and 1 star review Each review in all three modules was no longer than 3 lines of text.
The rest of the lens was written by Jadeveon Clowney Texans Jersey me. So my question is, do you think my lens was blocked by the manufacturer description, or from the customer reviews on Amazon?.
Some quick answers would be really appreciated so I can quickly edit my other lenses if need be (or would they have been blocked as quickly as this one?).
PS, the only images used on the lens are the product images from Amazon, Jadeveon Clowney Limited Jersey and the images of the star ratings from Amazon.
Probably both of them. I once copied a short paragraph from a terms and condition page and even linked to it but it still got flagged.
Here is a tip though. I use the standard Amazon module and I usually opt to pick my own products. And it is worth it to hold on to the lens and explain your situation and ask what needs to be done for it to be unlocked. I was in a similar situation and I had to wait 2 3 weeks before I got a response and when I did get one, it was to tell me my lens was unlocked. So, don expect a response quickly and don delete the lens (especially if you put a lot of time into it)!FashionMerchandise
Thank you both, well I have edited the lens. I completely changed the manufacture description and only stated the first couple of words of each review. I then with added an anchor link to the review on Amazon saying full review here. I forwarded the blocking email to with the mistakes I assumed I made, and the editing I done, so fingers crossed. I sure this product is a squidoo first as well, so I had high hopes for this one as I it (excuse the pun). I just hope I followed Squidoos to do if a lens is blocked policy correctly. Now I guess it just a waiting game.
Has anybody ever managed to unblock a blocked lens? and what do you think squidoo would think if I started another lens on the same products but without my original mistakes? is that asking for trouble?I found that if you copy product description or reviews and paste that into the customizable description, it never gets flagged by the duplicate content filter. because it does not get flagged, does not mean you should do it.
Squidoo HQ has made it quite clear that they want product descriptions rewritten to ensure that lenses are full of original content and just because this around does not get flagged now, does not mean it wont get flagged in J.J. Watt Texans Jersey the future because the filter is frequently updated and tweaked.
And just because it does not get flagged does not protect the lenses from being reported in which case they could be locked. Do it on a lot of lenses and it may not just be one lens that suffers, but the whole account.
Peter these days it seems that getting a lens http://www.texansonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-ANDRE-JOHNSON-JERSEY.html unlocked is a very hit and miss affair. Some manage it and others find they get no response to a request for a Hand Review. I guess it is because the HQ team is too small to be able to deal with every request.
To add to the frustration, I believe locked lenses are automatically deleted after 30 days, even if you have requested a hand review. So I would back up the content on that lens and if you dont want to wait to see what happens, make another lens with 100% original content. If it is more or less the same lens, but this time with no and providing it is not a banned topic then you should be fine.
Actually it is no different from having Amazon pick the products for you. If you pick that option Amazon automatically fills in a description from the site but strangely if you pick your own the description gets left out. It is obvious that it is an Amazon module so why should you be penalized for putting in what would have been done for you anyway?.
