Keeping the bastards honest
The tipline has once more proved deadly accurate, because yesterday we spotted Fast Eddy for the first time in the flesh. And just as our tipsters said he would be, the fraudster was driving a small, white Kia people mover van, registration number 557 SIX, sporting a disability sticker, which we are told is his mother Which makes sense, because Fast Eddy looked far from disabled, and in fact appeared a picture of rude health in his expensive designer label red and white short sleeved checked shirt.
And why wouldn he look and feel good with all that untaxed cash rolling in? For there he was, pulled up in the disabled parking bay collecting the young South American student in a santa hat who had been harassing the shoppers at all day, rattling the alleged charity tin to collect money to pay for Eddy Christmas presents. And in the back Jake Matthews S Jersey were another 3 young men, presumably fellow panhandlers from other Woolworths sites.
We tried to whip out the phone and get a picture, but Eddy spotted us and must have known what was up because he whipped out of the centre car park like a greyhound and vanished into the great blue beyond.
And soon the hounds of hell will descend upon the vociferous vulture, and not before time, because if there is anything worse than a grub who steals a disabled parking spot, it is a grub who takes money from the mouths of the needy by defrauding the good and charitable people who support worthy causes. Kids will go hungry at Christmas this year because the charity dollars that would otherwise have gone to the Salvo or St Vinnie have landed instead in the pockets of a crook with a made up emergency plan.
For his own sake we hope Fast Eddy has his own personal emergency escape plan, because we suspect he is soon going to need it.
Kelli Lane 16 weeks is the difference between a warm cup of tea or a cold jail cell
The issue of abortion is, and has always been, one of the most difficult debates on the national stage.
What is notable, and illustrated by the example above , is that pro choice advocates are usually women, whilst the most vocal pro life campaigners are usually men. Whilst this may seem somewhat incongruous, the reality is that natural reproduction requires chromosomes from both genders so we guess it only fair that each gets a say.
Now we not here to advocate a position on abortion because, like euthanasia, we believe that it is a matter of individual choice and each one conscience is strictly their own.
But what a difference 4 months made to the life of Kelli Lane, whose baby Tegan mysteriously vanished off the face of the planet seventeen years ago. Lane had twice previously had abortions, which are legal in states such as Victoria up to the age of 24 weeks (although Lane is believed to have had hers in NSW). Afterward she was able to return home and, presumably, have a strong cup of tea.
But for some reason Lane decided not to terminate a foetus that legally became a child named Tegan when she gave birth to her in 1996. Did she not realise she was pregnant? Was she in love with the man who impregnated her? Maybe she simply lazy or forgetful? Perhaps, after adopting out two previous children, she thought that this time she was ready for motherhood. Or maybe she just couldn afford an abortion.
We probably never know, but what is well known is that Tegan disappeared, never to be seen again, somewhere between Lane leaving hospital and returning to her home. Lane was later charged, and convicted, of Tegan murder. Her appeal against the conviction was earlier this month dismissed and she now must serve the full minimum sentence of 13 years and five months for her crime.
Sixteen weeks prior to Tegan birth her life could have been legally terminated and Kelli Lane could have returned home for another cup of tea. Hours after the birth her mother became a murderess. Oh what a difference 4 months makes. But far from conservative.
Campion College training ground for the future warriors of the Catholic right
We written extensively about Campion College on this site over the course of a number of months, and it wasn by accident. We threw out stories about the bankers, priests, millionaires, magistrates, doctors, George Bush acolytes, rabbi politicians, union officials, businessmen and journalists connected to the college to lay the path, and now, with the information coming to light about the activities of the SDA and the addition to the cast of The Grouper, Rocco Mimmo, we appear to be reaching our destination.
You see, we long held suspicions about the real purpose of Campion College. After all, it is a university that only offers one degree. It has only just over 100 students. It is named after the founding group of groupers who split the ALP asunder in the 1950 And by any conservative estimate it runs more than $10 million in the red year after year. Who pays the bills? And why?
The suspicions only deepen when a vice chancellor is appointed and called a Ra'Shede Hageman M Jersey CEO, and he is a Septic Tank who a fundamentalist catholic convert who has never before run a centre of academic excellence. In fact he never even worked for one, and was recruited direct from an US Republican front think tank with probable links to the CIA who are driving the anti Obamacare agenda.
They deepen further when you take a glance at the honorary fellows of the university and see everywhere characters with deep links to the right wing of Jake Matthews XXXXXL Jersey the ALP. Blokes like Tricky Joe, and Rocco Mimmo, and former MP , and Lara Kirk, political advisor to Senator Jacinta Collins, a hardline social conservative backed by the SDA, and magistrate Brian Kilmartin, Bill Ludwig mate and former lawyer.
Then there are the Tories, like John Roskam from the Institute of Public affairs, and Peter Costello wife dad Peter Coleman, and Giles Auty. What is it that they all have in common?
Catholicism obviously. But how does that account for someone like the Rabbi, Shimeon Cowen? His Dad was a Tory Governor General so that is a clue, but we reckon that it his outspoken position against homosexuality that the key. The same key that opened the Campion door to the right to life brigade, your Andrew Foong and Lesa Meese and Tracey Rowland people are all hardline Catholic social activists, opposed as one to marriage equality, abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research and IVF (except when they have shares in it).
This is the 21st century version DLP.
Alive and well, and training the next generation of the Catholic Social Studies Movement.
Except the DLP is dead, and the modern groupers, these neophyte conservatives who seek to impose their pre Vatican 2 world view upon us all, now work within the structures of both major parties. They hold the ALP in the palm falconsauthenticofficial.com/Rashede_Hageman_Jersey_Falcons of their hand, as Julia Gillard preposterous backdown on same sex marriage proved.
