DETROIT Dez Bryant was as animated on the sidelines Sunday as he's ever been during his time with the Dallas Cowboys.
The 24 year old wide receiver began showing his emotion during the third quarter, particularly after Tony Romo didn find him on a third down throw that resulted in an incomplete pass. Romo only targeted Bryant twice during the first half. Bryant finished with three receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns.
But Romo said Bryant wasn pleading for more passes. In fact, Romo says Bryant has never complained about getting the football tossed in his direction.
"He's a competitive guy," Romo said Sunday. "He's never complained to me about getting the ball. He knows the ball is going to where it's supposed to. He knows that. I think more than anything it's about him willing the team.
"When you guys see emotion sometimes from Dez, it's just rah rah more than it is being a 'me guy.' That's not who Dez is. I think that would be completely out of character for him for it to be a 'me situation.' He does a great job. Sometimes, it's, 'Come on guys, we're better than this,' really emotionally. But he's never a selfish guy."
Believe Romo if you'd like but that sure sounded like a veteran quarterback trying to cover for a teammate that took things too far. If it was all good, Jason Witten and DeMarcus Ware wouldn't have been getting into Bryant's face near the end of the game.

Judge tosses ethics fine for state Corrections Women's Lars Eller Jersey Dept
OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) A manager at the Department of Corrections did not violate ethics rules by spending work hours on a nonprofit program she founded, a judge ruled Friday.
The Olympian reported that the decision by Thurston County Superior Court Judge Gary Tabor led to a $5,000 reduction in fines for Belinda Stewart. Stewart must still pay $8,400 for Dickie Moore L Jersey violating ethics rules by using an agency computer for an outside job.
The state Executive Ethics Board had argued that it properly fined Stewart for working on a nonprofit that helps felons re enter society. The board contended that the work did not benefit Corrections Department employees. But Tabor said the work benefited the department because it has a role in reducing recidivism.

So maybe next time I stop in it might be a little harder choice on which side of the building to eat from.I was driving around on my lunch break and happened to see this place for the first time. the parking lot was jammed and I happened to "catch" the 1 spot left! I'm happy I did. The service was very helpful and quick. They have a good variety of different catches and crustaceans on the board. I wanted a po boy sandwich, but did not see it listed. Instead I was treated to a Pita version of one with fried shrimp and oysters. I was very happy with the quality of the food and service. Science in the Middle Ages comprised the study of nature, including practical disciplines, the mathematics and natural philosophy in medieval Europe. Following the fall of the Western Roman Empire and the decline in knowledge of Greek, Christian was cut off from an important source of ancient learning. Although a range of Christian clerics and scholars from Isidore and Bede to Buridan and Oresme maintained the spirit of rational inquiry, would see during the Early Middle Ages a period of intellectual stagnation. During the High Middle Ages, however, the West had begun to reorganize itself and was on its way to again taking the lead in scientific discovery (see Scientific Revolution). Most classical scientific treatises of classical antiquity written in Greek were unavailable, leaving only simplified summaries and compilations. Nonetheless, Roman and early medieval scientific texts were read and studied, contributing to the understanding of nature as a coherent system functioning under divinely established laws that could be comprehended in the light of reason. This study continued through the Early Middle Ages, and with the Renaissance of the 12th century, interest in this study was revitalized through the translation of Greek and Arabic scientific texts. Scientific study further developed within the emerging medieval universities, where these texts were studied and elaborated, leading to new insights into the phenomena of the universe. Even under the Roman Empire, Latin texts drew extensively on Greek work, some preRoman, some contemporary; while advanced scientific research and teaching continued to be carried on in the Hellenistic side of the empire, in Greek. Late Roman attempts to translate Greek writings into Latin had limited success.

This period also saw the birth of medieval universities, which benefited materially from the translated texts and provided a new infrastructure for scientific communities. Some of these new universities were registered as an institution of international excellence by the Holy Roman Empire, receiving the title of Studium Generale. Most of the early Studia Generali were found in Italy, France, England, and Spain, and these were considered the most prestigious places of learning in Europe. This list quickly grew as new universities were founded throughout Europe. As early as the 13th century, scholars from a Studium Generale were encouraged to give lecture courses at other institutes across Europe and to share documents, and this led to the current academic culture seen in modern European universities.
The rediscovery of the works of Aristotle allowed the full development of the new Christian philosophy and the method of scholasticism. Also, many of the medieval Arabic and Jewish key texts, such as the main works of Avicenna, Averroes and Maimonides now became available in Latin. During the 13th century, scholastics expanded the natural philosophy of these texts by commentaries (associated with teaching in the universities) and independent treatises. Notable among these were the works of Robert Grosseteste, Roger Bacon, John of Sacrobosco, Albertus Magnus, and Duns Scotus.
Scholastics believed in empiricism and supporting Roman Catholic doctrines through secular study, reason, and logic. The most famous was Thomas Aquinas (later declared a "Doctor of the Church"), who led the move away from the Platonic and Augustinian and towards Aristotelianism (although natural philosophy was not his main concern). Meanwhile, precursors of the modern scientific method can be seen already in Grosseteste's emphasis on mathematics as a way to understand nature and in the empirical approach admired by Roger Bacon.
Grosseteste was the founder of the famous Oxford franciscan school. He built his work on Aristotle's vision of the dual path of scientific reasoning. Concluding from particular observations into a universal law, and then back again: from universal laws to prediction of particulars. Grosseteste called this "resolution and composition". Further, Grosseteste said that both paths should be verified through experimentation in order to verify the principals. These ideas established a tradition that carried forward to Padua and Galileo Galilei in the 17th century.
Under the tuition of Grosseteste and inspired by the writings of Arab alchemists who had preserved and built upon Aristotle's portrait of induction, Bacon described a repeating cycle of observation, hypothesis, experimentation, and the need for independent verification. He recorded the manner in which he conducted his experiments in precise detail so that others could reproduce and independently test his results a cornerstone of the scientific method, and a continuation of the work of researchers like Al Battani.
Bacon and Grosseteste conducted investigations into optics, although much of it was similar to what was being done at the time by Arab scholars.
