The question of how, when and why humans first entered the Americas is of intense interest to archaeologists and anthropologists, and has been a subject of heated debate for centuries. Several models for the PaleoIndian settlement Cheap Jerseys of America have been proposed by various academic communities. Modern biochemical techniques, as well as more thorough archaeology, have shed progressively more light on the subject.
Current understanding of human migration to and throughout the Americas derives from advances in four interrelated disciplines: archeology, physical anthropology, DNA analysis and linguistics. While there is Wholesale Jerseys general agreement that America was first settled from Asia by people who migrated across Beringia, the pattern of migration, its timing, and the place of origin in Asia of the peoples who migrated to America remains unclear.
In recent years researchers have sought to use familiar tools to validate or reject established theories such as Clovis first. As new discoveries come to light, past hypotheses are reevaluated and new theories constructed. The archeological evidence suggests that the PaleoIndians' first "widespread" habitation of America occurred during the end of the last glacial period or, more specifically, what is known as the late glacial maximum, around 16,50013,000 years ago.
Understanding the Wholesale NFL Jerseys debate
The chronology of migration models is currently divided into two general approaches. The first is the short chronology theory with the first movement beyond Alaska into the New World occurring no earlier than 15,000 17,000 years ago, followed by successive waves of immigrants. The second belief is the long chronology theory, which proposes that the first group of people entered the hemisphere at a much earlier date, possibly 21,00040,000 years ago, with a much later mass secondary Cheap NFL Jerseys wave of immigrants.
One factor fueling the debate is the discontinuity of archaeological evidence between North and South America PaleoIndian sites. A roughly uniform technocomplex pattern known as Clovis appears in North and Central American sites from at least 13,500 years ago onwards. South American sites of equal antiquity do not share the same consistency and exhibit more diverse cultural patterns. Archaeologists conclude that the "Clovisfirst", and PaleoIndian time frame do not adequately explain complex lithic stage tools appearing in South America. Some theorists seek to develop a colonization model that integrates both North and South American archaeological records.

Best Donte Moncrief Jersey and worst of the off season for Detroit Lions
The off season is the portion a roster is put together via free agency and the NFL Draft, and systems are changed or installed, especially for a squad such as the Lions, who have changed head coaches from Jim Schwartz to Jim Caldwell, during Andrew Jackson Womens Jersey mini camps and organized team activities.
What follows are the three best and three worst aspects of the Lions off season, which will Andrew Jackson Kids Jersey come to a close following this week mandatory minicamp in Allen Park:
1. The Lions first two selections in the NFL Draft It didn seem like most Lions fans were enamored with selecting North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron with the 10th overall pick, but they should be. Ebron isn just another tight end. He has the size and capabilities of a traditional tight end, but is much more of a threat as a receiver. There are two things Ebron does exceptionally well. One is split the middle deep down the field with his 4.6 speed in the 40 yard dash. Another is garner yards after the catch. Considering the attention that will be given to wide receivers Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford should be able to get the ball in space consistently to Ebron.
The Lions second round pick, linebacker Kyle Van Noy from Brigham Young, easily could have been taken in the first round. He has excellent instincts and could immediately standout. Look for the Lions to blitz Van Noy often.
2. The free agent signing of wide receiver Golden Tate It was the only big money free agent acquisition the Lions were able to make because of the Ndamukong Suh contract fiasco, but it was money spent wisely. Tate was the leading receiver on the Super Bowl championship team in Seattle in 2013 and is in his prime. Finally, the Lions have a counterpart on the outside to take some of the defensive heat off Calvin Johnson.
3. The improvement of Darius Slay at cornerback Slay, a second round draft choice, started slowly for the Lions last season. Then, just when he was coming around, he was injured. Slay has looked much more confident in the off season practices. Look for him to make the biggest season to season improvement of any other Lions player.
THE THREE WORST
1 The Lions and Ndamukong Suh not getting together on a contract extension Not only is the handwriting on the wall that Suh, a free agent after this season, will be leaving Detroit, Donte Moncrief Youth Jersey but his failure to sign an extension left the Lions with a $22.4 million salary cap hit on his contract this season. As a consequence, the Lions were limited in how much they could improve the team via free agency because of salary cap issues.
2. Not taking a defensive back in the third round of the NFL Draft Because the Lions traded up to pick Van Noy earlier in the second round, they didn have a pick in the fourth until the compensatory phase at the end of the round. Not long after they picked Arkansas center Travis Swanson in third round, there was a run on defensive backs. It left the Lions settling for Utah State Nevin Lawson. Swanson might turn out to be a fine NFL player, and veteran Dominic Raiola is older. But they needed to augment their secondary as much as any area this off season. Yet, they selected just one defensive back in this draft.
3. The Lions placekicker situation is uncertain This a town that is going to be appreciate Jason Hanson this season, it seems. Seventh round draft pick Nate Freese hasn impressed so far.

NFL Needs a Shorter Preseason and Longer Regular Season
An NFL team's schedule is guaranteed to consist of 16 regular season games. With the possibility of four playoff games and five preseason games, players can participate in 25 games per season, and that excludes the Pro Bowl or training camp activities. Are four to five preseason games necessary for NFL teams to prepare for the regular season? Could these preseason games be turned into more profitable regular season contests? How can the NFL help reduce injuries by implementing a scheduling format featuring fewer preseason games, yet increasing regular season games?
Will creating a shorter NFL preseason reduce injuries?
The idea behind a shorter NFL preseason is reducing the amount of injuries, particularly in meaningless games. In 2003, the Atlanta Falcons season was essentially over before it began when Michael Vick sustained a broken leg during the preseason. Harry Williams, the former Houston Texan who was trying to impress Texan and NFL talent evaluators, sustained a spinal injury during the first quarter of a 2008 preseason game on special teams. To have a career or season end on an injury in a warm up game is extremely frustrating for players, fans, and even owners.
Shortening the NFL preseason schedule would reduce the potential for injuries during games that don't count, but would eliminating preseason games reduce injuries overall? In that aspect, I would argue that the opposite could occur. With fewer preseason games, the NFL would likely increase the total of regular season games. Regular season games have psychological and financial importance, so those games would include players playing with extra passion and intensity.
Eliminating NFL preseason games would reduce the amount of meaningless injuries, but it could increase the amount of injuries overall because of more regular season games.
Longer NFL regular season makes business cents
Many professional sports' regular seasons are lengthy. In the NBA and NHL, eighty two games can be exhausting to the casual fan. Similarly to a major golf tournament with the final 9 holes on the fourth day, I don't enjoy watching MLB games until about August in their 162 game scheduling format. When these sports complete their championships, I'm ready to give them their four to five month hiatus.
The NFL is one of the few professional organizations that should look into adding regular season games. From the beginning of February through the beginning of September, the NFL plays no meaningful games. Other than April's NFL Draft and the Gamebreaker, NCAA Football, and Madden video game series from June on, football fans must wait approximately seven months for meaningful football. Unlike the other major sports venues, I'm still interested in a few more weeks of football following the Super Bowl.
The success of the NFL Draft and the NCAA football series shows there is interest in football before September. From a business standpoint, why not capitalize on it? www.patriotsofficialauthentic.com/authentic-james-white-jersey.html Adding regular season games would increase television revenue. It would serve as two more weeks where it was eating into its competitor's competition as most Americans will watch regular season football over baseball, basketball, or hockey. In addition, it edges on negative publicity to charge fans regular season prices for preseason games where players play one quarter.
What could prohibit a longer NFL regular season?
The NFL's sixteen game schedule is convenient in that an opponent's games for the next season can be figured at the conclusion of the regular season. It makes it simpler to create a schedule that guarantees games against every opponent in the NFL at least every four years, with home games at least every eight years.
Another factor that will hinder longer regular seasons is the players. Players are not going to play more regular season games without compensation beyond their preseason checks. If the regular season extends to eighteen games, I'd guess that players will expect an eleven percent increase in their yearly salaries. Another thing to consider is that with a longer regular season, it's reasonable to think that an NFL roster expansion to fifty five or more players could occur.
With more salaries and possibly more players to account for, will owners find it profitable enough to extend the NFL schedule?
How many preseason games should the NFL schedule?
If the NFL wants to maintain twenty combined games over the preseason and regular season, the ideal solutions appear to be reformatting the schedule into two preseason games with eighteen regular season games or three preseason games with seventeen regular season games.
In 2003, Troy Aikman suggested that two exhibition games should be enough for coaches to evaluate their talent. With one game to finalize starting positions and one game to decide upon the final players on the final roster, there is no reason to suggest that NFL teams need more preseason playing time. College football teams play no preseason and they're expected to go undefeated if they want any opportunity at a national championship.
How many regular season games should the NFL schedule?
Obviously, an eighteen game regular season schedule is more ideal because it creates for an equal amount of home and road games. The only way I could see any odd numbered schedule being a viable option is if the NFL wanted to dedicate a week toward expanding themselves as more of an international brand and play an entire week of games in various cities around the world. These would be considered neutral games and give other countries a first hand perspective of the NFL.
The NFL Devonta Freeman Womens Jersey should add a second bye week during the regular season
One of the first things I look at when the NFL schedule is released is when my favorite team's bye week is. When a team has a bye week early in the season, it increases the potential for a fatigued team at the end of the season. If a team gets their bye week at week 3 or 4, they will be playing nearly three months without a week off, and that doesn't include the playoffs for wild card teams. Currently, teams with bye weeks around weeks 9 and 10 have favorable advantages to make a run at season's end over teams with bye weeks earlier in the season.
If the NFL creates a longer regular season schedule, then it's essential to give teams another week of rest. In an eighteen game schedule with two bye weeks, this could be done by giving teams their first bye week around weeks 3 10 and their second bye during week 11 18. Weeks 19 20 would close out the season before the wild card rounds began. This gives players a rest week per 10 weeks instead of a rest week per 17. This should prevent injuries by keeping players rested and prevent scenarios where teams are playing over three consecutive months of http://www.patriotsofficialauthentic.com/authentic-james-white-jersey.html regular season games without a bye week. Retired NFL Receiver Destroys Argument Against Gay Players
Former NFL player Donte' Stallworth doesn't buy the argument that an openly gay player would be Bashaud Breeland Jersey too distracting for an NFL team to be successful.
In a series of tweets, the retired wide receiver responded to the suggestion floated by former NFL coach Herm Edwards that intense media attention may discourage teams from drafting gay players.
"Can the players handle the media attention they are going to get when they get the Morgan Moses Youth Jersey question asked, 'Are you okay with a gay teammate?'" Edwards asked in an ESPN interview Sunday night.
Stallworth, who last played for the New Morgan Moses Jersey England Patriots, didn't mince words. If a team can't handle the media scrutiny of drafting a gay player, he wrote, "Your team is already a loser on the field."

What Should the NFL Do About the Extra Point
Three things in this world are certain: death, taxes, and an NFL kicker successfully kicking a football through the uprights from 20 yards away. The automatic nature of the extra point is leading to growing concern among NFL executives. Although many alternatives have been discussed, the NFL will experiment with a 38 yard extra point for two weeks in the 2014 preseason. However, 38 yard kicks are almost as automatic as 20 yard kicks in the NFL.
The status of the NFL extra point has been consistent for many years. However, in 1994, the http://www.texansnflofficialauthentic.com/authentic-louis-nix-jersey.html NFL instituted the college rule, allowing for a two point conversion attempt. Another recent alteration to this rule was the XFL model. Instead of having the option to attempt a two point conversion, XFL teams had to run a play from scrimmage to score one point, thus eliminating the kicker from the equation.
Most NFL fans would say the Tom Savage Womens Jersey extra point is hardly a major issue. The fact that it is virtually automatic should not be a major concern. But one of the traits that has made the NFL the most popular sports league in America is the league's willingness to tweak its rules. MLB has always been too wedded to its past and its reticence to institute major change has caused it to fall behind the NFL in terms of popularity.
The extra point is one part of what NFL owners see as a growing problem. Although ratings are up, attendance is down slightly from five years ago as some fans complain about the live experience at NFL stadiums. Interminable television timeouts and the time between plays have some NFL fans choosing to stay home instead of going to games. Assuming this issue even needs attention; making the extra point attempt a 38 yard kick will penalize teams with a good offense and a bad kicker. Somehow, it doesn't seem right that a kicker should have that much impact on an NFL game.
I am in favor of another solution that has been discussed previously. If the extra point is so unnecessary, then just eliminate it and make touchdowns seven points. However, if a team should choose to attempt a two point conversion, then a successful attempt would net eight points, while an unsuccessful attempt would only garner six points. This would make NFL games much more interesting as head coaches wrestle with this difficult decision.
I don't believe the NFL extra point requires a great deal of attention. But if the NFL is determined to enact change, then the 2014 preseason www.texansnflofficialauthentic.com/authentic-louis-nix-jersey.html experiment is hardly the best alternative.
