The Vikings offense is shaping its identity with every practice as the team learns who belongs and who doesn observing practices throughout training camp and speaking with offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave, there is much to glean from the direction of the offense. Remember, these observations are based on what I seen, not how the final installation will look in September.
Expect tight ends, tight ends and more tight ends. Despite 11 wide receivers on the 90man camp roster, the quarterbacks have spent much of camp throwing to Visanthe Shiancoe, Kyle Rudolph, Jeff Dugan and Jim Kleinsasser up the middle. Musgrave said his tight ends will have plenty of fullback responsibility, which increases the value of Kleinsasser and Dugan on this team. All four will get plenty of snaps in the next month of preseason work.
Blocking help will come from the edge. Left tackle Charlie Johnson has been scrambling since Thursday after signing with the Vikings late in the free agency process and fending off Jared Allen every day. But the 6foot4, 305pounder won be on an island every down. Expect chipblock help from fullbacks, running backs and tight ends.
Musgrave values pass protection over run protection because it provides more balance and, in turn, sets up the run. want to keep the quarterback upright and have him be able to be accurate, Musgrave said. people start getting around him, everything deteriorates. everything goes smoothly, Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart will get plenty of passcatching opportunities during the season. Sounds like the Vikings want to stay true to the plan of keeping AP fresh by resting him when possible. Expect Gerhart role to increase in pass protection.
After mostly running undercenter offense early in camp, the Vikings quarterbacks have taken more shotgun snaps in recent days.
Vikings need more communication in the passing game. Lots of blown routes and errant throws Tuesday. Must be cleaned up in last two days of camp.
Rarely do the Vikings ask their quarterbacks to go deep unless it a go route down the sideline, usually with either Michael Jenkins or Bernard Berrian. Most of the action is within a 30yard passing radius, at least so far.

Bulldogs' new starting quarterback is armed for breakout season The Commercial Appeal
And that's a good thing since Relf, a fourthyear junior who met a mass of reporters Wednesday at the Wynfrey Hotel on the first day of the SEC football media days, heads into this season as Mississippi State's starting quarterback.
Because he was used so much last year in shortyardage situations in which he ran the option, he has to dispel the notion that he's not a great passer.
"A lot of people underestimate my throwing ability," said Relf, who completed 22of41 passes for 283 yards and teamleading five Phil Simms Throwback Jersey touchdowns as a backup situational QB a year ago. "But this season, they'll see."
If State wants to get to a bowl in its second season under Dan Mullen following the coach's 57 debut last year, Relf must demonstrate he has a strong, steady right arm. There were glimpses of that last year, especially in the 4127 seasonfinale domination of Ole Miss, when Relf ran for 131 yards and a TD, and completed three passes including two for touchdowns.
In fairness, Relf's low passing numbers were in part because he was not left in games long enough to get a rhythm. And most of the plays called were option runs because his 65, 245pound frame was better suited to fight for every inch.
Relf figures to be pushed hard by freshman redshirt backup Tyler Russell, but he's the more complete QB at the Giants Jon Beason Jersey moment.
He has two more years of college experience than Russell, has played in 12 games, he's a better runner than Russell (second on State's team last year with 500 yards and two touchdowns) and possesses a more durable frame.
Mullen, who wants to throw Mark Bavaro Jersey the ball more out of the spread option offense he brought from Florida where he was the Gators' offensive coordinator, said Relf has immensely improved in every area.
"He's worked really hard on his fundamentals in throwing the football," Mullen said. "He's worked hard on spending extra time, sitting in meetings, talking to coaches, watching more film. When he first got there, I think Chris thought he could show up when the meetings start, practice and go home.
"The last offseason a year ago, we had to push Chris. I couldn't tell you one time this offseason where I had to look at Chris Relf and say, 'You need to pick it up.' He was the one that was winning a lot of the sprints."
State safety Charles Mitchell said he has detected a noticeable difference in Relf's passing.
"Chris has a strong, accurate arm on him," Mitchell said. "One day he threw a ball so hard it almost took one of my fingers off. A lot of people haven't seen his arm, but they'll see it this year."
Relf's offseason dedication toward improvement should be no surprise. When he first became a quarterback in the seventh grade in Montgomery, Ala., he worked hard to overcome shortcomings.
For instance, when he kept fumbling snaps from center, Relf's father, Dennis, who played football at Miles College, www.giantsonlineofficialstore.com/giants-carl-banks-jersey-c-4.html took little Chris to the playground and made him hang from the monkey bars to strengthen his hands.
"My father had me hanging there for a good 5 to 10 minutes," www.giantsonlineofficialstore.com/giants-jon-beason-jersey-c-50.html said Relf, whose father would conduct twoaday workouts with Chris and his brother Eric, who now plays for Alcorn State. "It cured my fumbling."
And when young Chris wasn't throwing with accuracy, his father had him firing spirals into garbage cans.
Mullen hasn't had to go that old school in improving Relf.
"Before, Chris was throwing the ball differently almost every time," Mullen said. "He has become a lot more consistent, because he knows the offense more and there's less thinking. Everything is transferring quicker from his eyes to his mind to his arm."

Burt Talks http://www.giantsonlineofficialstore.com/giants-jason-pierrepaul-jersey-c-8.htmlSports Giants Jason Pierre-Paul Jersey 2008 February
Asante Samuel is officially a Philadelphia Eagle. He agreed to a deal while visiting the Eagles facility this afternoon. As expected it will average out to $10 million per season and about $30 million is guaranteed. There are other incentives included (interceptions) that could add about $7 million more in bonuses over the first three [.]I believe there were many reasons why he didn go. Here are the first 10 that come to my mind: 1. If Theo not going, neither was he. Personally, I agree with this one. 2. He wanted to get in more hitting. Would fans complain if this were really true? 3. Athletics play such an important role in our society, but, unfortunately, some in professional sports are not setting www.giantsonlineofficialstore.com/giants-victor-cruz-jersey-c-9.html much of an example.

A Bills' QB prospect to Ponder
The league's decision to allow retired NFL players to introduce their former team's secondround picks at next week's draft has provided the first real clue as to the Bills' choice at No. 34.
Former Buffalo wideout Andre Reed was given the honour and soon after it was announced he would be doing the announcing, Reed took to his twitter account and posted this:
"My tweets are all over the headlines . Didn't kno my opinion mattered so much!! http://www.giantsonlineofficialstore.com/giants-rueben-randle-jersey-c-30.html I have no clue who the Bills plan to pick!!! nfldraft" he tweeted again.
Ponder makes a lot of sense, assuming he's still there at No. 34. First the Bills have talked about adding another quarterback to study under Ryan Fitzpatrick. Ponder has a history with head Giants David Wilson Jersey coach Chan Gailey and the Bills brought him to Buffalo for a workout.
Ponder in the second round also suggests the Bills are thinking defence first with the No. 3 pick which we have suspected all along . unless Cam Newton is still available at that point.
Former NFL www.giantsonlineofficialstore.com/giants-david-wilson-jersey-c-18.html greats Barry Sanders, Franco Harris and Marshall Faulk will also take a turn doing introductions at the draft.
LIONS WILL BE SIFTING FOR GOLD
Drafting out the lucky No. 13 hole, the Detroit Lions have to take what falls to them to a degree.
The cream of the crop is likely gone by the seventh or eighth pick, leaving the Lions sifting for gold among the blemished players remaining.
Lions GM Martin Mayhew appears Rueben Randle Youth Jersey to understand this better than most.
In an interview with the Detroit News, Mayhew downplayed both the knee problems that have hurt Da'Quan Bowers draft stock and the offfield concerns about cornerback Jimmy Smith.
Bowers' knee issues are significant enough for some teams that a couple have taken him off their draft board. Smith failed four drug tests while at Colorado, opening himself up to maturity questions.
Mayhew said Lions doctors examined Bowers, who had a knee surgery in January, and while his knee is not perfect, it is not something that should hurt him in the future.
Rumours Bowers may eventually need microfracture surgery has hurt his draft stock immensely.
As for Smith, Mayhew said meeting the young man has dispelled any misgivings he might have had before about drafting him.
Bowers, as recently as the NFL Combine was considered among the top three linemen available in the draft while Smith has generally been considered the second or thirdbest corner available behind Patrick Peterson and/or Prince Amukamara.
PANTHERS TRADING DOWN?
NFL analyst Mike Mayock is convinced the Carolina Panthers want to trade down in the draft from it's No. 1 perch.
And that may well be the case.
But as of Friday, the Panthers haven't had any kind of firm offer according to Panthers GM Marty Hurney.
"If the draft was tomorrow we could go ahead and make decisions, but we have a week left and we're going to continue to refine those decisions," Hurney said.
Hurney is in a bit of a spot here. Making Cam Newton the first pick overall brings equal parts risk and reward and a team that misses on the No. 1 pick can take years to overcome that.
Newton has the athletic ability to be the next great quarterback in this league but has just one year of college experience in a very simplistic offence, the kind of offence that he won't find in the pro ranks.
No one is saying he can't make the adjustment. If he does he'll be a fixture in the league for years to come. But if he can't, he'll never justify the cost of a first pick, let alone what it will do to the franchise that wastes a first pick on him.

A COMPARISON OF THE ROLE OF http://www.giantsonlineofficialstore.com/giants-justin-pugh-jersey-c-20.html THE PRINCIPAL IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS OF Justin Pugh Youth Jersey DIF
The purpose of the research was to discover whether the role of the elementary school principal differed significantly in public schools of different size (small, medium, and large) and location (urban, suburban, and rural areas).
