Tammy's Noodle Kugel

Kugel is a sweet baked pudding that means "ball" in Yiddish. I've thought about this for awhile - that makes no sense. Regardless, this kugel is awesome.

Cook Time: 45 Minutes
Course: Side Dishes/Vegetables

Ingredients:
  • 16 oz. cream cheese (mixed in a mixer)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 8 oz. melted butter
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 16 oz. wide egg noodles
  • Cinnamon sugar to taste

Instructions:

1.  Combine the cream cheese (already mixed) and with the vanilla extract.

2.  Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.

3.  Add the beaten eggs to the cream cheese/vanilla extract mixture.

4.  Then add the heavy cream, sugar, cinnamon, melted butter and raisins. 

5.  Boil the noodles according to the packaging and drain when done. 

6.  Pour the mixture little by little, incorporating it into the drained noodles. 

7.  Grease a 9 X 13 pan and pour the mixture/noodle mix (?) into the pan.

 

8.  Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.

9.  Bake at 350 for 45-1 hour
